cover in bodega bay as far as monterey and salinas and mendocino. not seeing much fog this morning. most of it is still coming up the coast. 48 novato at this hour, clear skies, 48 santa rosa. clear and mild napa 50. 36 fairfield. mid-50s in the east bay. livermore 57. 52 menlo park and again not the fog that we would expect this time of year but we're going to see more of that as the week progresses. storm track well to the north. you see the gray area. that's the cloud cover beginning to move up from the south as this system begins to deepen just enough that it will bring us a bit of a sea breeze later this afternoon. so we'll warm up nicely throughout the early part of the day and start to cool off areas closer to the coast earlier this afternoon. but still generally nice day with more cloud cover overnight tonight. and the cooler work week. some rain maybe by this time next week. the cloud cover from the clouds moving back so you can see clear skies for all of us through the early part of the day and then again moving back on shore this evening. south bay temperatures 82. san j

, mendocino, northern napa and sonoma, the most amount of rain. as we head farther to the south not a whole lot going on. this is a one-hour loop for the past one hour, see the showers have moved off and now moving off into the valley area into the sacramento area. so what's happening here, is some of the rain that's falling through, is enough to wet the roadways, moving through quickly and behind it a bit of a break, south end of the bay nothing going on just yet. the front that came through last night moving through right now and then that reinforcement i was talking about right in through there. it's not a whole big storm. it's just a little bit. enough to give us some of that rain. also some showers and thunderstorms. that little piece coming in this morning, has some unsettled air up above, cold unsettled air might give us a couple lightning strikes. east side of the bay, trace to tenth, same for the south end of the bay, more like a trace. about a quarter inch to half inch to the hills for the north end of the bay. half inch to three quarters of an inch done by about 1:00. we've got t

in to mendocino county. this system will do this and do this. out ahead of it we have low clouds and fog. santa rosa reporting fog. 59. we'll go 70, 78. higher clouds will be moving in today. fog, drizzle, sunny, mild. 60s, 70s, still some 80s inland. north bay will get the clouds first and other areas once the fog burns off, it will be sunny. 64 in san francisco after yesterday's 65. they are already at 58. look at san jose, 67 balmy degrees. kind of a muggy feel. also that drizzle. once the sun burns off, a muggy feel. if you are doing anything outside, by the coast, it will cool down. ukiah, 64. and a lot of low clouds. watch how the system is getting closer. getting closer. it's going to slow down a little bit. as it runs into the ridge of high pressure. it's kind of bumping it out of the way. increasing clouds today later to the north and saturday we'll cloud it up. the low starts to move by late saturday and sunday. today, morning fog, drizzle is already there. sunny, mild, cooler, coast. 60s, 70s, and 80s. mostly cloudy weekend. rain to the north and spreading south by sun

down the coast. very shallow. looks like it's touching the southern end of the mendocino coast. and that is it. so summer and fall. we started yesterday with a little warmup. today, it will continue. weekend looks warm to hot. key may be finally after about six months of pattern change. our 7- to 10-day outlooks, drop a very cold deep system in the east and high pressure in the west. that's not something we've seen in a long time. the leading edge of our system continues to go to the north. and you can see how everything is lifting, lifting, lifting. therein lies the warmup. sunny, nice to warm and hot. 70s, 80s and 90s, as temperatures come up another 5 to 10 degrees. 58 in san francisco. they are very calm, windwise. and also the warmest on all of the locations. that's usually a sure sign that they're going to be warm to hot, which is why i'm going 80 today. 80 in the city after yesterday's 74. 80 in san francisco. that means antioch must be warmer. 92. by sunday, monday, they could be near 100 degrees. starting off 56. going to 92. just look. santa rosa and napa are down to 55. s

cool down. some of those higher clouds will start to punch into mendocino county. sonoma county, about san francisco, oakland north. we're not expecting any rain out of that. but a lot of clouds and some cooler temperatures. cooler, breezy, windy. the wind is already beginning to pick up as well. it was about 15, 20 miles an hour. 60s and 70s. temperatures coming down. everybody across the board in the 60s. 60 san francisco to 68 livermore/concord, also santa rosa and even napa. 67 up in tahoe. reno is warmer than anybody almost. 65 in ukiah. 55 chilly degrees. a little warmer as you head south. there is a lot of fog in southern california. this system is going to go into the north and settle in after it ejects out then we'll see gradual warming. that couple of days will feel fall like. fog and sun, cooler, breezy to windy, more clouds to the north. those higher clouds are already beginning to move in. tomorrow will be even cooler, tori, that system drops in. the cool air is in place. now fall starts again. thursday morning could be very chilly. >> thank you, steve. >> you bet.

north coast around mendocino county. we will look for the rest of it to hold together and the tail end of it to push through the bay area early tomorrow afternoon. it's going to drag a few showers in. this morning we are starting out a lot of cloud cover, the drizzle and it peels back. partly cloudy mild conditions today. and then throughout the overnight hours here comes more cloud cover and rain showers in the north bay by 5:00 tomorrow. pushing throughout early afternoon east bay and south bay. by the later afternoon hours it's to the east of us. about a quarter of an inch in the locations of the north bay. that's up by santa rosa. maybe a tenth on the peninsula with trace amounts on the east bay and south bay. in the south bay look for the clouds to thin out. mid to upper 70s today. 77 saratoga. cupertino, some sunshine here on the peninsula with 76 redwood city. staying pretty cloudy but mild on the coast. 62 in pacifica. san francisco 67 for you with cloudy skies around sunset and richmond district today. and the fog holding on at bodega bay and stinson beach. 76 sonoma. 70 oakla

cold front that's holding together. most of the energy to the north around mendocino county and eureka. but here's the activity that continues to gain a little bit of energy and moisture off to the south and west of us. that's the rain maker that's gonna spread on through here later on tonight. here we are this morning with the drizzle, the cloud cover. east bay partly cloudy as well as the south bay and parts of the north bay this morning. san francisco, you will be stuck in the clouds. through the overnight hours, everyone clouds up again. by 5:00 tomorrow, we've got rain along the north coast. sonoma county. pushing into marin county. through the early afternoon, rain showers through the east bay and peninsula. by three, 4:00 in the afternoon, it presses out of here. but rainfall amounts, they're going to accumulate a little bit. wettest locations of the north bay from a tenth to a quarter of an inch here. tenth of an inch around the peninsula. a couple hundredths from the south bay to the east bay so just wet pavement there. today under partly cloudy skies look for mid-70s sunnyval
